In response, Twitch is reverting this particular change.

“Much of the content created has been met with community concern.

These are concerns we share.

Upon reflection, we have decided that we went too far with this change.”

Were making some additional updates to our Sexual Content Policy.

We realize that our earlier update caused confusion and appreciate all the feedback weve received.

“So, effective today, we are rolling back the artistic nudity changes,” said Twitch.

This restriction will not apply to Mature-rated games, plus emote-specific standards can be found in separateguidelines.

The remainder of the updated sexual content policy still applies, details below.

The change comes after a recent rise of sexually suggestive streams.

However, as it’s grown and diversified, new controversies have arisen.

A new list ofSexual Themesoutlines what content is covered by the CCL.

The updated policy means certain previously prohibited content is now allowed, provided the correct CCL is used.

Popular dances such as twerking, grinding, and pole dancing are now allowed without a content label.

Further, this updated policy is focused on stream content rather than in-game content.

It means viewers will no longer be recommended inappropriate content.

This is particularly important for younger viewers and followsupdated measures by Twitch last year to combat child grooming.
