Telltale Games addresses concerns following a Reddit report suggesting possible cancellation of the sequel.
While the original post has since been deleted, Telltale has now directly responded to the rumors.
“As a rule, we don’t comment on rumors and unsubstantiated Reddit threads.
In April 2024, Telltaleshared new images from the gameto reassure fans that production was progressing.
“We’ve been quiet because we’ve been heads down, focusing on the promise of TWAU2.
However, Telltale’s response has refuted these claims, assuring fans that the game remains in production.
The project was revived under new management after Telltale’s original closure in 2018.
It was confirmed last year that the game had transitioned to Unreal Engine 5.
Earlier development challenges, including a restart in 2019 and delays, have plagued the project.
In 2022, the game switched to Unreal Engine 5.
