Lead designer Joe McGinn said in aninterview with Summoning Saltthat Radical Entertainment wanted to make a sequel.
In fact, McGinn said the studio had the rights forthreesequels for no additional licensing fee.
However, there could be countless reasons for why a sequel never materialized.
“We never imagined it would still be bringing some people happiness 20 years later!”
Its last project was supporting Bungie on the original Destiny.
It’s too soon to say, but McGinn previously saidhe would “love” to see that.
It’s not immediately clear who owns the video game rights to The Simpsons franchise.
The TV series is still on the air, but no announcements have been made about future video games.
