The Switch only needs to sell 1.1 million more units to pass the PS2’s US lifetime tally.
The Nintendo Switch is getting closer to matching the PlayStation 2 for lifetime sales in the US.
Globally, it’s a bit of a different story.
Nintendo recently reported that Switch sales through June 30 stood at143.42 million units.
The PS2 is understood to be the best-selling home console of all time with about 155 million units sold.
With2.1 million sold already this fiscal year, that leaves 11.4 million to go to reach the target.
We still don’t know for sure, but Nintendo has said itshould be revealed by April 2025.
