And in the context of the story, it just might.
However, their companion managed to maintain their composure and her grin.
That film starred Sosie Bacon as Rose Cotter, a therapist who was haunted by a curse.
As the curse progressed, Rose saw people flashing sinister smiles at her everywhere she went.
Smile 2 is setting up a new victim, Skye Riley (Naomi Scott), to go mad.
Skye is a pop singer on the rise when she’s struck by the same curse that afflicted Rose.
Like her predecessor, Skye doesn’t have anywhere to run when the curse comes for her.
Kyle Gallner is reprising his role as Joel from the first film, which connects the two movies.
Drew Barrymore is also slated to cameo as herself.
Smile 2 will hit theaters on Friday, October 18.
