Wario Land 4originally debuted in 2001 as an early title for Game Boy Advance.
It’s actually the fifth mainline Wario platformer in the series when taking into account Virtual Boy Wario Land.
Additionally, Wario Land 4 arrived before the WarioWare franchise even existed.
