Director Michael Bay is reportedly teaming up with Sydney Sweeney for a movie based on Sega’s OutRun.
According toDeadline, Bay is attached to direct OutRun from a script by Jayson Rothwell.
However, Sweeney is only signed on as a producer, not a star.
Sweeney is one of the busiest actresses in Hollywood, and her upcoming rolesinclude the Barbarella remake.
She has also shifted to producing her own projects.
There hasn’t been a new game in the series since 2009’s OutRun Online Arcade.
The huge box office ofA Minecraft Moviemay also push more video game adaptations to the big screen.
