But what about a smaller scale remake, perhaps in the 2D-HD visual style popularised by Octopath Traveller?
I’d be very happy to see that."
Kitase also explains the Final Fantasy 7 remake series is completely separate from the main series.
Really, it all comes back to that toy box.
“[Directors] give their ideas and put their new toys in my box.
