after you snag discovered the location, approach from the south-east.
Take the stairs down and fire up the chest within for the Whetstone Knife.
You’ll also get Ash of War: Storm Stomp to add to your collection.
From here, you canselect a weaponand assign an Ash of War.
In summary - Ashes of War are reusable, nor are Weapon Arts replaced for good.
This allows you to experiment and try which Ashes of War work best for your weapons of choice.
In other words - not long into the game at all.
