In terms of melee weapons, the two available are functionally identical.
As a final note, there is also currently abug where assault rifles are not performing as intended.
By and large though, these are where weapon quality begins to trend down.
Certainly ones to keep an eye on in the future.
Expect to almost never see these weapons without some upcoming balance patch to adjust the meta.
