Breakout Beyond revamps the nearly 50-year-old arcade game with local co-op and new features.
In 2026, the arcade classic Breakout will celebrate its 50th anniversary.
Essentially, players use Pong-like controls to bounce a projectile to destroy bricks that stand in their way.
Unlike the Breakout arcade game, this version will unfold sideways on a larger canvas.
There are 72 levels, and a second player can join in the action through local co-op.
Additionally, there will be an unlockable endless mode with an online global leaderboard.
Atari purchased Intellivision last year, and insisted thatthe Amico is still going to be released.
