After the debut of the first trailer for A Minecraft Movie, three fans have released an animated recreation.
The one area where the recreation comes up short is conveying the emotions of the human characters.
And that is kind of the key to getting viewers to buy into them.
Jack Black plays their guide, Steve, who has mastered the art of crafting.
And somehow, he’ll help them get home.
Jared Hess is directing the film from a screenplay by Chris Bowman and Hubbel Palmer.
A Minecraft Movie will hit theaters on April 4, 2025.
